Summary
At a secondary school in London, the headteacher welcomes all new arrivals and their families. Along with assessing their needs, they are supported by a buddy and attend a breakfast club. In a secondary school in Bolton, new arrivals are welcomed by their peers. The head of year shows them round the school and makes sure they are placed in appropriate learning groups.
